Dreams at the Cadogan Hotel (directed by Paul Redford).  A witty, surreal period drama about the struggle to get Oscar Wilde to flee England rather than go to jail that blends the realities of several authors and their fictional characters (including Wilde, Dorian Gray, Bram Stoker, Dracula, and George Bernard Shaw).  January 9 @ 7:30 pm

Exultation (directed by Cindy McGean). A mischievous period comedy in which a Renaissance-era Venetian painter tries to sell his unorthodox final masterpiece to a local convent.  January 17 @ 7:30 pm

Hecuba on the Shore (directed by Jasper Prodromou).  A majestic Greek verse drama set after the fall of Troy in which the Trojan queen plots her revenge against the man who betrayed her grandson.  January 2 @ 7:30 pm
It’s Brilliant Here (directed by Maggie Hadley).  An uproarious comedy about an affluent gay couple contending with commitment and family challenges in 1990s Los Angeles.  January 10 @ 7:30 pm

Jubiloso (two readings, directed by Connor Kerns and Emily Laue).  A biting comedy in which a washed-up symphony conductor tries to get his son to replace him, while reconciling with a former protegé.  January 18 @ 2 pm (Laue); January 31 @ 7:30 pm (Kerns)

Kit Marlowe’s Comical Demise (two readings, directed by Keith Cable and Patrick Lee).  A rollicking verse comedy in which Shakespeare and other Elizabethan playwrights attempt to stage the “death” of fellow dramatist Christopher Marlowe to allow him to escape the Royal Spymaster.  January 3 @ 7:30 pm (Cable); January 24 @ 7:30 pm (Lee)

Lift Up Your Hearts (directed by Emily Sahler).  A captivating historic comedy in which Queen Christina of Sweden attempts to liberate courtesan/philosopher Ninon de L’Enclos from a convent.  February 1 @ 2 pm

Lost Crowns (directed by Stephen Weeks).  A compelling verse drama about a family divided over the return of the Stuart monarchy to power in which a royalist daughter seeks to persuade her democrat father to leave growing political violence in London and take up residence with her and her courtier husband in the country.  January 23 @ 7:30 pm

Mary Tudor (three readings, directed by Elise Dixon, Peter Holden, and Hailey Houser).  A riveting drama in which Princess Mary tries to reconcile with her abusive father, Henry VIII, without abandoning her faith or dignity.  January 4 @ 2 pm (Holden); January 16 @ 7:30 pm (Dixon); January 25 @ 2 pm (Houser)
